Breaking Down the Rules of Spelling

This session presents an in-depth overview of our philosophy as well as explicit training instruction for spelling at SBSUM. Rather than memorizing a finite list of sight words, students are taught foundational phonetics and spelling rules that will equip them to independently decipher and spell every word in the English language. Come and learn about the curriculum we use in the spelling years, and how to instruct your student in our materials at home. ​Video Recording​​​

Parents will review the Progression book targets for 3rd and 4th grade which encompasses the main learning objectives for this stage.
